I need to update my theme to 1.6 to get Visual Studio to work again but I cant find anywhere to update it. It doesn't say there is an update to it in WP Admin and I can't find any documentation to do it. We are currently on 1.3 and Visual Composer stopped working because of deprecated methods from WP 4.5. Any help would be appreciated.
Please first go to the Downloads page of your account on ThemeForest to download the latest theme package (make sure to download the full package, not only an installable theme). After extracting the ZIP file, browse to the "Documentation" folder then open the "index.html" file with your browser.
For the instructions on how to update the theme, you can find them under the section of "How to > Update the theme + plugins".
Note that if you are updating the theme from the version prior to v1.5.0, also check out this important update note: https://uxbarn.ticksy.com/article/5168/
Good morning Paul. The only issue with that is the theme was purchased by my company under our old designers ThemeForest account, so its not showing up in my downloads section. I have the purchase code for the theme, is there any way to get the theme switched to my account so we dont have to buy it again?
Hmm. I am not sure about the item transfer between two accounts I am afraid. I would suggest contacting Envato Support directly for the assistance in this case. You can open a ticket to them here: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. They should be able to give you a proper solution.
