Footer CSS positioning and mark up problems

The 4 widgets in the footer are not positioned correctly. The first one is full width, but the 2nd, 3rd and 4rd seem to be outside the footer. I have some minor custom CSS, but it's unrelated to the footer and widgets. The positioning is also like this with the custom CSS disabled.

I wonder if I have configured this correctly. I would like to know how it is set up in the example theme. Am I missing something? Furthermore, how come they don't have a line between the heading and paragraph?

EDIT: Hmmm now I see that the mobile version also looks whacky. Strange because I removed my previous theme, all the content, it's CSS customization and required plugins and only then did I install this theme.

EDIT 2: I copied the style.css file from another Aina-user to deduce if something was wrong with mine, but the problem still persists. It was the same file, so that means my style.css is the proper one that ships with the theme. So it has to be something else.

I'm urging to literally delete everything, including the database and start a new one and install a fresh Wordpress installation. It's as if something unrelated to the theme is causing these layout problems. I recognize some errors in the mobile version layout I also had in my previous theme.. :|

    Hello!

Could you please try installing and using the Classic Widgets plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-widgets/ ? The classic ones should work properly with the theme. Let me know if it helps!

    Regards,
    Paul

    Thank you! That did it.

If I may ask a follow-up question: why are my featured portfolio post images on the homepage on mobile not at full width? I can see in other websites with this template that the width value of .portfolio-item changes to 100% when @media max-width 600px applies. I don't see that happening on my site when inspecting.

I can see that specific bit on line 2496 in my stylesheet. It applies to all types: .portfolio-item, -category and post-item. Surely my images are of that type too? Yet that line is crossed out in inspector for some reason (see attachment).

I don't know what is overwriting it because I did a fresh install with no additional plugins or big css edits. The basic css edits I have are all related to distances and disabling certain text elements.

I have seen some extra options for applying full width, but that applies it in desktop view, in stacks of one.

Hmm. I just checked your website on my mobile and it looked great. The images were properly displayed full-width (please see the attached screenshot).

I am not sure if you have already figured that out. If it still persists on your end, could you please try to clear all the cache and check it again?

    Hi Paul,

I made a new ticket and later on I fixed it myself. See the other ticket for more info :)
