    hi paul,

style customizer is no longer working correctly for me. the background image i uploaded, though it shows up in preview, isn't loading in chrome or safari. also, the secondary font i loaded via google fonts doesn't display in the preview or on the site.

i saw the FAQ about reinstalling wordpress if the style customizer isn't working, but it doesn't seem that i'm getting the error messages you describe (though i could be looking in the wrong place).

if i re-instaill wordpress, will i lose all of my content?

    thanks so much,

    Hi Mary Kate,

Strange. What did you mean by "no longer working"? Does it mean that it used to be working before?

If so, do you remember what was your last action to make it stopped working? Any new plugins installed? Any custom code added? Or else?

Please firstly try to disable the plugins one by one to see if any of them is the cause.

    Regards,
    Paul

It was working, yes—I was able to upload and make visible a background image from the beginning. It was just recently I started to mess with google fonts, and noticed that only one of my google fonts was showing up, and then I noticed that the background image wasn't showing up. I haven't installed any new plugins in the last month. The only plugins that are currently active are necessary for the site—Layer Slider WP, Option Tree, Simple Page Sidebars, UX Barn Extension for visual composer, UXBarn portfolio, and WP Bakery visual composer. I deactivated all those, and then activated them 1 at at time--still no background image or second font change :(I've mostly been adding custom CSS. I just cut it all out, and saved and published, but that didn't bring the background image or the fonts back :( I even emptied my cache and tried again.

    Thanks for the info.

As I have checked, it looks like the cause is that there was a line break in your Google Fonts Loader box (screenshot: http://cl.ly/image/0z0A3a452Y0i ). The line break did affect to the generated CSS by the customizer. So I removed it making two fonts the same line (screenshot: http://cl.ly/image/3f2D063F1D1k ).

Then I went to "Style Customizer > General" and select the secondary font to "Oswald" once again after removing that line break. Now the module is working properly.

    Cheers,
    Paul
