The theme by default only supports the Google font list in "Appearance > Customize > Typography". Please try choosing the fonts that work with your language (also choose the subset as Cyrillic). Screenshot: https://cl.ly/krZP . I hope it helps.
But if you would need to add custom font, I am afraid you would have to do it manually. I would suggest searching on Google with the keywords like "add custom font wordpress".

Oh, the subset filter! :) Wow!
I found "Ubuntu 400 regular" is quite similar to Quicksand and it has cyrillic subset.
