By default, there is no option to disable the lightbox for now, unfortunately. I will see what I can do to add a new portfolio option to disable that in the next version.
Yes, you understand it correctly. Normal WP Images/Galleries and Portfolio have separate functionality in this case. The option you see there only for the former.
Hi Alessandro! Just to let you know that the latest version of Nakamura (v1.0.1) includes a new portfolio option to disable the lightbox on portfolio single pages. After updating the theme, you can find the option by going to "Appearance > Customize > Portfolio Options".

I need your help: I'm setting up the portfolios by now and i don't understand how to have the ptf without the lightbox slideshow.
I tried clicking on the EDIT GALLERY button, modifying the "link to" option to "nothing" and then saving.
Nothing has changed.

Hi Paul thanks for the answer but... i found the setting in the Appearance > Customize > General Options section :)
As you can see in the attachment i set it on NO and set the LINK TO option to MEDIA FILE in the portfolio...
But it's still not working :(
Is that because that the setting works only on images and galleries and not on portfolios ?
